Alton Viberaux (y'know, sort of like "Otto Octavius") is coerced by a nasty businessman to shimmy down the San Andreas Fault to make some seismic measurements. Nevertheless, he has a machine that he hopes can be used to prevent earthquakes by absorbing seismic energies! As he begins his descent down the fault, naturally an earthquake occurs! HOOO-boy! Prof. Viberaux gets all messed up but has somehow aborbed the seismic energy of the fault into which he fell! He wanders the streets of a nearby town, his mind in a fog. After he destroys a storefront, someone asks who he is...and he replies "I....AM....VIBRO!" Whoa, scary, huh?

Jim Rhodes, who played Iron Man at the time, had little difficulty dispatching of this totally lame villain.
