Milos Masaryk was a Soviet Intelligence agent who was equipped with a helmet designed by Anton Vanko, the original Crimson Dynamo. The helmet could discharge destructive energy blasts from its "power horn." Later, Milos' masters subjected him to experiments which drastically increased his strength; however, this was at the cost of his body's cells degenerating at a incredible rate! Upon conflict with Iron Man, Unicorn was temporarily captured and Tony Stark was able to halt the cell deterioration for a time. But when Uni escaped, it again resumed. Eventually, Uni's condition began to affect his mind. After another conflict with Shellhead, Unicorn "heard" his ally the Titanium Man calling him, and subsequently walked into the sea in search of him!! (IM #154.)

Later, another man dubbing himself the Unicorn joined the Russian superhero team People's Protectorate. And yet another Unicorn was a member of the Stockpile -- a mercenary team sent by Morgan Stark against Teen Tony and the sentient War Machine. Whether this latter Unicorn was the original is uncertain.
