Poor old former professor of Tony Stark Ted Slaught can't seem to remember much anymore (possibly due to Alzheimer's disease) and unfortunately for him this leads to an industrial accident which transforms him into a being of molten metal! Whoa! IM's first confrontation with Slaught (who can't pronounce his own last name in his new molten state so he goes with "Slag" -- neat, eh?) leads to the Modular Armor being thrashed about. But, the canny planner that he is, Stark comes back to use a combo of holographic trickery and liquid nitrogen to "off" his molten former mentor!
