Radioactive Man

Nuclear physicist Chen Lu underwent a mutation through exposure to -- ready? -- radiation! Thus this scientist from China now had green skin, and was able to emit radiation in the form of heat, energy blasts, force fields, or "hard" radiation (he continually emits this, however). An early foe of Thor (Journey Into Mystery #93), he then joined up with the first Masters of Evil (Avengers #6), where IM literally wrapped him up in lead foil!

He showed up in IM's own title as a slave to the Mandarin (IM #179). Mandy showed no remorse while torturing RM (IM #180) after he let Iron Man (Jim Rhodes) trash some vital equipment Mandy needed. He later appeared as an employee for Stane International where he developed a "hand-held neutron grenade launcher" (seen on display at a science conference). Here it is revealed that Chen Lu can also detect radiation, and he has detected the radioactive blood of a one Peter Parker, who is at the conference to snap photos! Parker, as Spider-Man, later returns after hours to investigate why he felt so "weak" earlier, and is promptly captured by the RM. Iron Man later gets a tip from former Stark security chief Vic Martinelli about strange happenings at Stane involving the RM. IM jets off to confront RM, and eventually traps him in molten lead by melting the ceiling of his lab -- and then immediately freezing it with a freon blast! (Oh, and Spidey was rescued, too!)

Radioactive Man most recently has turned up in the employ of "old" Stark nemesis Ty Stone, his powers greatly enhanced. He tried to "off" IM by blowing himself up, but IM's new teleporter saved him (IM vol. 3 #38-39).
