Organism Designed for Aggressive Maneuvers,
a.k.a. SODAM, also possibly Olinka Barankova, also claimed to be Hank
Pym's wife Maria Pym, was subjected to mutagenic
chemicals and radiation which caused her brain to grow to enormous proportions.
Like her predecessor, M.O.D.O.K.,
this servant of A.I.M.
(Advanced Idea Mechanics)
possesses the ability to project psionic force blasts and create protective
force fields.MODAM came into conflict
with the Golden Avenger
when "Tony Stark" arrived in the AIM-owned island of Boca
Caliente to work out a deal for the recovery
of certain nuclear materials. MODAM realized that "Stark" was in fact an
LMD (Life Model
Decoy), and ordered AIM soldiers to terminate it! But the real Stark only
had to switch telepresence frequencies
to his NTU-150 Armor
and begin an all-out assault on the rogue island! The giant-headed monstrosity
initially got the best of IM,
but later, after a tussle with Omega
Red (who had issues of his own regarding MODAM), Shellhead
proved victorious.
