Man-Bull Print E-mail

William Taurens (how original!) began his criminal career while he was still young, when he was arrested for petty theft. He continued to engage in numerous petty crimes, including grand larceny, arson, manslaughter and assault with a deadly weapon. Taurens was eventually hired by the crime boss known as Mister Klein.

Mister Klein hired Taurens, and a number of other thugs, to kidnap some people to be used as test subjects for a serum that Mister Klein had acquired. The serum was created from the extracted mutated enzymes of bulls. The serum was supposed to increase the strength of anyone injected with it.

MB showed up as part of the inappropriately dubbed "Death Squad" at the 1974 San Diego Comicon, alongside the Melter and Whiplash. What were they doing there? At the Black Lama's bidding, to draw out Shellhead! (IM was there "killing time!" No kidding! Imagine -- a multi-millionaire can't find anything to do but hit a convention!) Anyway, IM takes out Man-Bull -- and the other two -- very quickly, and wins over the con crowd in the process. How 'bout that?

First ever appearance: Daredevil #78.
First IM Appearance: Iron Man #72.

(Thanks to the Unofficial Handbook to the Marvel Universe for the info assist.)
