The brothers Percy
and Barton Grimes were two realtors who acquired
the theater where Nathan Dolly
(aka Mr. Doll!) met his demise. Discovering the mannequins of the
Brothers Grimm, the brothers felt compelled to try on the costumes. In doing
so, they discovered they possessed the same powers
as the original Brothers Grimm. They used these powers to take revenge on a
business rival, and were opposed by Jim Rhodes
as the second Iron Man.
They actually bested Rhodey, but Tony Stark, still recovering from his bout
with alcoholism, used property records to implicate the duo of their crimes. (IM
#188.)
The Grimes were taken into custody but soon
escaped. They later found employment by joining with the
Night Shift, led by the vigilante known as the Shroud, who infiltrated
California's criminal underworld. The Brothers Grimm were on hand with the rest
of the Night Shift when encountering the heroes of the
Avengers West Coast team.
