Iron Man tells the story of Tony Stark, a billionaire industrialist and genius inventor who is kidnapped and forced to build a devastating weapon. Instead, using his intelligence and ingenuity, Tony builds a high-tech suit of armor and escapes captivity. When he uncovers a nefarious plot with global implications, he dons his powerful armor and vows to protect the world as Iron Man. 

This is the movie Iron Man fans have been dying to see for a VERY long time... and it looks as if after years of false starts, things are on track for a movie that will exceed our wildest expectations!

Iron Man could have easily been turned over to some... shall we say, "semi-talented" director who could have had a small budget to work with and would have turned out some 2nd rate B-movie version of our favorite amored Avenger. But no, lo and behold the mighty comic book and movie gods smiled upon the long-suffering Shellhead fans, blessing us with a director (Jon Favreau) who turned out to have a killer vision for the movie. Not only that but he brought on board a bevy of A-list actors to play crucial roles:

Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark

Terrence Howard as Jim Rhodes

Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts

Jeff Bridges as Obadiah Stane 

Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury (unconfirmed)
