Armor
Specs: Space Armor Mark 1
Nickname:
None
Designer:
Anthony Stark
Worn By:
Anthony Stark
Appeared: Iron
Man #143
Design
Notes :
Shell Composition:
Its
composed of impact resistant carbon-composites overlayed on top of layered
"flex-metal" which can condense itself like a 3-dimensional accordian pleat.
Micro-Scale suit tiles fabricated by genetically engineered metal affinity
bacteria which assemble themselves in specific orderly arrays, then expire,
leaving behind various metallic deposits which form all the metal shapes
and micro-electronic circuits. This suit's matrix was formed non-collapsable
to increase its protection from the rigors of deep space.
Power Source and Energy Information:
Powered by a Mark IV micro-nuclear
supply pack; Solar power converters.
Control Systems Interface:
Cybernetic interface and battle
computer (Mark 1).
Weaponry:
*Repulsors:
Repulsors are electron beams which require laser ionized path of air to
travel through the atmosphere. Beam is moderated using a pulsing beam and
and early form of adaptive optics. The repulsing effect is limited to the
surface of an object. Objects are jolted away from the beam path by the
combination of ionized air and the accelerated neutron beam. This armor
used the third generation palm repulsor. It was the smallest to date: cluster
of 3, 18mm for improved heat dissipation.
*Unibeam:
Variable intensity light source. Can be focused for use as a spotlight
or fine-focused for use as a laser. Pentode Chest Beam, an attempt at an
ideal space and atmospheric proton beam. The pentode shape allows for a
more accurate pulsing of laser beams when used on Earth.
*Epaulet-mounted
concussion-burst cannons.
*Deflector
beam.
Equipment:
*Boot Jets:
The boot jets are Model III nuclear thrusters with sufficient power to
produce escape velocity.
*Life Support
Systems: Can sustain for up to 2 days.
*ECM against
radar and sonar.
*Energy
Absorption: Can absorb from electrical sources or through solar energy.
*Exo Units
on the gauntlets: These are long-range grapples, jettisoned, they can
be shot outward and reeled in. The "hands" are fully articulated, capable
of retrieving objects or destroying them.
Sensors:
Radar; Sonar; Heat (Infrared);
Radio.
Notes:
The Space Armor is designed for
extended time outside of the atmosphere, up to two days in orbit (food
and cathertization capable). The life support, boot jets and attitude maneuvering
are powered by an on-board supply of liquid oxygen.. Despite the fact that
the suit posses enormous power, it is bulky and awkward in normal gravity.
In addition, the suit was designed with a special cybernetic command software
that is overly sensitive.
