Mandarin? Rings? What rings? Similar to what happened to the Squadron Supreme's Dr. Spectrum, Mandy's rings are now "fused" into his body, apparently giving him control over all their powers without having to activate 'em individually. "Dum Dum" Dugan fills in Tony Stark about a black ops mission to the Chinese psych hospital where Mandy has been, but Tone lets Dugan know that there'll be "no more illegal operations" while he is SHIELD director. That edict doesn't last long. Sal Kennedy lectures Tone about the plan's necessity, all the while Stark squeeze Dr. Maya Hansen is being persuaded by the US government to work on Extremis for them. During the cladestine op, Karim Najeeb is found dead and hoisted back to SHIELD while Iron Man and his assistants encounter bio-teched "zombies." As Maya and Sal examine Najeeb's corpse, suddenly a grotesque biological "growth" bursts forth in "Alien"-like style!
