Yikes!
Pepper
has handed to Agent Streich
the means to totally shut down the Iron Man
armor (a "fail-safe" device given to Pep)!
Elsewhere, IM
has landed with his captive, and demands to know why he set Stark (and
Seok) up. Oops -- actually, IM
demands to know where the mastermind of this whole shindig is since
his captive is ranting and raving using terms associated only with the
Mandarin!
(And since Mandy is dead, his son Temugin
must be head honcho!) But check it -- IM's
captive's head blows up before he can rap!
Here's
what Tony Stark is all about: he nabs the device which offed his captive
(straight from his charred head...yuck) and uses it to track down Temugin.
Cool. "Straight From 'What If Iron
Man Lost the Armor Wars' Dept.":
To increase his clandestine abilities, Stark shaves the goatee...and bleaches
his hair blond!! As he nears his destination, Streich shows up
and demands "Stark" stops where he is! Tony finds refuge in a delapidated
warehouse, and once Streich is gone Stark summons a "Mr.
Yu," a disgruntled minion of Temugin, in hopes
of getting info. He does, and IM
makes his entrance at Temugin's hideaway! The Conclusion is all ready!
One thing, though: Stark's wounds from his assassination attempt are getting
worse! Sound like the last time IM
went after the real Mandy in vol. 3 #s 9-10? Hmm...
Hube's
Recommendation:
repulsors!
