(May 2007) - no title -
Script: Brian
Michael Bendis. Art: Alex Maleev.
An all-Iron
Man/Tony Stark
retrospective following the events of the
"Civil War"
and the "death" of
Captain America. Bendis'
writing really shines here as does Maleev's art -- it has a definite "Earth
X" feel to it. Stark confesses (hence the title!) to a seemingly "dead"
Steve Rogers the reason he did what he did during the Civil War: It was all
because of ... King
Arthur! Long-time
Iron Man
fans will delight at this tip of the hat to
IM's
greatest creative ever -- Michelinie and Layton -- as Stark notes
that Arthur is "the greatest leader of men" in history. And, when he and Doc
Doom were whisked back in time to the Camelot era, Tony states that this
is when he realized that eventually he and Cap would have to square off
against one another. But the whole Civil War imbroglio? Stark to Rogers: It wasn't worth it.
