Mark 20: Prometheum II (Tin-Man) Armor Print E-mail
Armor Specs: Prometheum II (Tin-Man) Armor

The Iron Man Tin-Man Armor by Michael Ryan
The Prometheum II (aka Tin-Man) Armor by Michael Ryan
The Iron Man Tin-Man Armor by Adi Granov
(Same armor rendered by Adi Granov)

Designer: Tony Stark
Worn by: Tony Stark
Appreared: Iron Man vol. 3 #50

Design Notes :

Shell Composition:  With S.K.I.N. proven unusable, this design returned to more conventional armor materials, a compound alloy, bonded on the molecular level. The armor, which went through various evolutions, had originally a generally segmented, almost insect-like appearance; later, it became heavier, more industrial. It was overhauled after Iron Man's first battle with Temugin. The armor was overtaken by an alien nanoplasm, causing Tony to remotely trigger the self-destruct system. Subsequent armors such as the armor worn while Stark was Secretary of Defense remain similar to this design.

Power Source and Energy Information:  Beta Particle Generator and Solar power converters, Thermocouple, and Laser Absorption Grid.

Control Systems Interface:  Cybernetic Interface combined with visual menu overlays with visual tracking system and Battle Computer.

Weaponry:
*Energy Blade: Similar in appearance to Captain America's [former] photon shield. The
Energy Blade is emitted from Tony's gauntlet and can also be flattened into a shield. A low-power version of the shield can be spread over Tony's entire armor.

*Repulsors:  Laser-guided particle beam emission units mounted in the palm of hand.

*Unibeam:  Multi-band light and force beam emitter. Can be adjusted for a variety of effects such as search light, heat beams, tractor beam, and lasers.

*Mini-Explosives: Small, but powerful explosive rounds fired from the epaulets..

*Pulse Bolts.

*Electromagnetic Pulse.

Equipment:
*Sonic Array: Temporarily knocks out anyone with in range.

*Boot Jets (Mark 5): High-speed triple source gyro-stabilized turbines.

*Holographic Projector.

*Cloakingor Chameleon Effect (disabled when Iron Man fires): Gives the armor the illusion of invisibility. Cloaking utilizes a great deal of energy and can only be utilized when the armor is not in combat or is not performing other strenuous activities.

*Energy Absorber: External converter that transforms a variety of energy forms into usable power for the armor. The absorber allows Iron Man to focus energy blasts through Iron Man's unibeam.

*Force Field: By expanding the field that keeps the armor rigid, the armor can encase itself in a protective force field that is effective against most forms of attack. He can also use this field to polarize the armor to either attract or repulse other items of magnetic polarity. The armor can temporarily surround itself with a force field that greatly increases its protection from attacks. While the force field is engaged, the armor is unable to use any other systems. Forcefield randomly remodulates itself according to wave algorithms. A second backup field fills in breaches in the armor shell.

*Emergency medical treatment override system:

*Voice activated "Battle Mode": When commanded, the armor can also adopt a hovering, non-humanoid, autonomous combat mode, equipped with energy and projectile weapons.

*Cloaking or Chameleon Effect (disabled when Iron Man fires): When commanded, the armor can also adopt a hovering, non-humanoid, autonomous combat mode, equipped with energy and projectile weapons.

*Energy Absorber: External converter that transforms a variety of energy forms into usable power for the armor. The absorber allows Iron Man to focus energy blasts through Iron Man's unibeam.
