I really didn't like last night's episode at all, except the very end. Is it just me, or is the quality slipping? Everything is forced, the dialogue sucks and last night saw editing like it's from a Rob Cohen movie (THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS, xXx, et al). Herc @ AICN sums it up best here: http://www.aintitcool.com/node/34363Reminds me of Iron Man comics a few years back--nothing moved at all. The kids in South/Central America are still on the run, the brother is still getting seperated, Hiro is still stuck, Nikkie is still doing work, etc. Nothing. Is. Moving. At. All. heath

I guess I'll chime in... (espc. since Metalhead decided to stick his neck out first). I was thinking the exact same thing after I finished watching last nights episode. "Chapter 3" definitely felt a little uneven.
By no menas am I ready to throw in the towel on Heroes, but I think they need to pick up the pace or try a different approach in following all the different story threads.

I'm not throwing in the towel, I should've mentioned that. But I'm really disappointed.

Missy Peregrym off the show kinda sucks, but Kristen's introduction more than makes up for it.
Hiro's feudal Japan storyline so far has been alright but could have been great.
Claire's new high school has been ok as well and has some potential with the introduction of the new flyer.
Are they running out of unique powers for characters? We have already seen two regenerators and two flyers now. Lack of imagination or is there some sort of connection between similar powered people?
Peter has amnesia and is in Ireland. This is the weakest stroyline so far IMO. Who cares. Get him back together with his brother.
The new South American brother and sister team are boring the heck out of me. How many times are we going to be forced to sit through the same scene? Oh no they get seperated! Her eyes bleed blackness. People fall down. Brother drains her power away. OK we get it...move on.
Muhinder working for the Company is ok, but uninspired so far.
Parkman as a detective so far is dull.
They killed Sulu, the ba$tards!
Nowhere near enough of Ali Larter so far, but this seems to be changing.
Sylar is back, but I hope we don't see too much of him this season. His story is pretty much played out already.
Molly and the "evil" all-seeing eye has potential.
So far, the show is far less interesting than it was after the first three episodes of the first season. I guess this was to be expected, but I'm still hoping for a lot more.

Tetra, good summary. I agree with it. Btw, Tim Kring (creator, EP) has said there's a limit to powers and that will be explored this season.

The Surresh / HRG plot thread involving "The Company" and Mendez's paitings and the Sylar thread to be the most compelling. The Sylar plot made me wonder if there's a third, undisclosed player on the board.
Have to admit that the whole Claire, West(?), Company-tagging, "prophecy" thing didn't come as any kind of surprise.

I have read that there is someone far more evil and powerful than Sylar. He's gonna be off the air soon anyway to go play Spock.

Peter has amnesia and is in Ireland. This is the weakest stroyline so far IMO. Who cares. Get him back together with his brother. I actually like the Peter storyline, as it's different. Throwing in with the (somewhat) bad guys gives a new twist on his characterization. Keeping him away from Nathan for awhile also allows for some buildup to when they're eventually reunited, especially if Peter comes to like being on the other side of the law. The new South American brother and sister team are boring the heck out of me. How many times are we going to be forced to sit through the same scene? Oh no they get seperated! Her eyes bleed blackness. People fall down. Brother drains her power away. OK we get it...move on. Totally agreed there. I'm not even sure exactly what her powers are, and the longer it drags out, the less I really care. The thing I'm really curious about is what happened in that 4-month gap between last season and this season? How did Nathan and Peter survive? Why does Peter have amnesia? What's up with that strange face Nathan saw in the mirror? Lots of questions to be answered.

Dude, then you must HATE Lost! Talk about snail's pace story development... Personally I enjoyed the Hiro storyline, although I kept expecting that HE would end being Kensei. I think Kensei is still alive and is one of the original heroes. May even be the guy behind the murders? Bro and Sis = getting old. Mohinder: Loved him being told that he's "not 007" and seeing him come to that realization. Peter: Kind of bugging me, but what pushed me over the top was that he was somehow transported from his exploded body at the finale to Ireland... with a little box full of personal papers? Sylar: I almost wish they'd left the guy dead, but I did like that he killed creepy illusion chick and DIDN'T get her powers. Vic

I tried watching an episode of LOST in 2004/05...the one with the guy hallucinating (pretty boy, killed in 06, I think) because of...Sawyer? That was enough; I wonder if Stephen King still likes it...

Kristen Bell is making up lost points for me this season with Heroes.
Still of all the returning and new shows on, so far Big Bang Theory is the one I'm enjoying the most.

Same here! Big Bang Theory is my favorite show this season so far, too.
Heroes finally seemed to ramp things up with this week's episode. Krtisten Bell's a cutie, but the scenes with Parkman's dad were the real "wow" moments for me.
