A great actor. I enjoyed his work in "Marty", "From Here To Eternity", "Ice Station Zebra", & of course, "McHale's Navy" (the series, not the movie). I even liked his small role as the records keeper in "Red". A true loss.

No mention of Airwolf anywhere...
He was a good actor and did it right up until the end.

Airwolf will always be how I remember him best. Yeah, he had an epic career, but I'll always remember him as the co-pilot and mechanic of the greatest helicopter ever. He will be missed.

He'll be sorely missed. I'm most going to miss him as Mermaid Man.

The Black Hole has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. I loved those robots as a kid.

I loved his constant smile in this hilarious SNL "What's Up With That?" sketch:

I LOVED the Black Hole as a kid and didn't find out quite a bit later Borgnine was in that since he looked quite a bit aged by the time he did Airwolf. I still think it's an entertaining movie, just outdated.

Never cared for "The Black Hole" myself. It came out the same time as ST:TMP & when I had to choose which 1 to spend my movie allowance on I made the right choice. "Airwolf" was alright for the 2 seasons I watched it, especially season 2, Jean Bruce Scott was such a cutie back then. But I just couldn't get past the claim of a supersonic helicopter, which is aerodynamically impossible. "Blue Thunder" was more realistic.
