Knowing absolutely nothing and just seeing the teasers, I agree.. Not much to get excited over.

My first instinct is that being call This is War, it should be action packed and full of peril and dire situations. That said, most of Marvel's big events have been fairly bad, so there isn't much hope for this one given the history. As much as AvX has basically been balanced in terms of who is winning, it doesn't make for a good story. However, CW and WWH showed when they don't go that route they miss the mark horribly.

Bendis has been setting up an Ultron War. I think this is it.

These are like the Fear Itself teasers. Chances a torn Spider-Man mask will be next? Bendis has been setting up an Ultron War. I think this is it.
Yeah, what with Bendis coming off the Avenger titles towards the end of this year and all, this is probably his last hurrah.

I also believe this it the Ultron War that has been hinted at early in the current Avengers series.. And it must be a big hurrah as its been mention several times in the series, that this Ultron can not be defeated. Well be another epic Marvel event that builds up to another under-whelming climax? WE. SHALL. SEE....

Beat me to it. This just got a whole hell of a lot less interesting. It's just going to be World War Hulk with the Punisher. Except the Punisher can't even hurt half the Avengers roster, not that it will stop Marvel from making nonsensical excuses for him winning.

As soon as I read that I had that same thought.. I was instantly less interested. Isn't their a comic out of continuity where Punisher kills the whole Marvel Universe? They're probably just gonna make that cannon now..

I think Marvel set a new record: they ruined the event just my revealing what it was. The other events at least had to hit the shelves before that happened.

I just wish they could section off each part of the MU and get their continuity in order before they bombard us with events like this..

I didn't think it could get less interesting, but dang if Marvel didn't accomplish it. I like the Punisher, but let's face it in the hands of a good writer (not Fraction), you can't justify him taking out any Avenger.

Yeah, this event doesn't look that exciting or original to me, so I don't plan on getting this. It's the same formula of turning a good guy bad that Marvel's been using for the past couple years to make their event of the year. Hulk (WWH), Daredevil (Shadowland), Cyclops (current X-Men comics, including AvX), and even thier handling of Iron Man during Civil War to an extent. It's getting old.
