(a blonde Guy Pearce, almost looking like a mid-90s Val Kilmer)

I agree with you Mandarin, just gotta say . . .

Please paint the silver parts gold OR make the gold parts silver, but enough of this half 'n half "unfinished" armor look.

I don't care what color you are, where you come from, what god you worship, who you date, or what your DNA looks like under a scanner.

Looks like Favreau regained most of the weight he put off during Iron Man.

I thought that, too... If you watch the making-of doc from the first film, you watch him drop the weight (heck, he's lighter in Vegas vs. the rest of the movie, since Las Vegas was the final day of shooting). He also got ripped for IM 2.

Doesn't really give anything away plot wise. The coloring of the armor in the banner is horrible; I really hope that's not what they do in the movie.

Why must there be so many armors already? Im sure we ll see 1 or 2 new ones but that would bring us up to 9 suits. Its nice to build an armory up, but it also makes them seem cheap and easily trashed when Tony uses them just once.

I wouldn't mind it so much if they established a function or a superiority. Mark I to II is obvious. Mark II to III makes sense kind of, it's the same armor out of different materials. Mark IV, VI, and VII all seem to be mostly the same. If nothing else if this movie ends like Extremis ends then at least this new armor would have a reason for the upgrade.

Of all the armors we've seen thus far, I think Mark IV wasn't necessary.

Mark V was a mobile panic room, never intended for prolonged fighting.

Mark VI ran on a new power source.

Mark VII places more emphasis on combat, and has an instant suit-up feature.

Plus the backpack thrusters so he doesn't have to use his palm RTs for stabilization and boost, either.

Ughhh... This bothers me more than anything in regards to Tony's movie armor. I'd prefer all red and gold, no silver, unless they want all silver and red ala Silver Centurion, though I honestly think the closest we'll get to that in terms of color was the Mark V Suitcase Armor.

So does anyone else get a "Bleeding Edge" vibe from this armor?

The first thing i thought actually. It worries me if they're borrowing from Fraction...
