Ahhh.qw. my 2 joys in life: video games and Iron Man, well super heroes in general. Sadly in the previous 2 outings of an IM tie-in game, the results were.... a little lack luster. The games were ok, but far from being considered awesome games. But here's my 2 cents. Good super hero games in the past generally involve... 1--a nice large city to free roam around in and do good deeds in between story missions. Ex: Spider Man 2 or Batman Arkham City. (even the Ps3 game Infamous) 2-- a team based beat-em-up style thats more linear and story based Ex: Marvels Ultimate Alliance and Xmen Legends. The issues I think is that neither really work well with Iron Man. Hes not a 'roam around the city stopping bank robbers' type and he's not a 'wander around a large building fist-fighting baddies' type either. So, "How would design the game IMK?" you ask. Well, lets make it similar to that Grand theft auto style.. you play as Tony Stark with a central hub base like Stark Industries as well as other cool locations Stark-like such as Casinos ect. The player receives the story missions and must go and pick the apropreate armor for the task such as space station is dropping out of orbit and need repairs. You fly there, solve a nice little puzzle, whatever, but then the Titanium Man attacks and now you must fend him off flying around in space and eventually in the station as it turns into more of a run&gun style battle hitting the weak points and using all your items at your disposal for that particular armor you have. Thats an example of a normal mission in various environments vs various enemies. The world vast enough to fly through, but doesnt need to be as detailed as action would only take place in certain areas. Upgrade not only your armor and items you use, but Stark tech and companies as well. IM is taken out and armor stolen, you now as Tony must solve the cules and riddles as to wear it is at, sneaking around the enemy base to find it. Have a good co-op and multi player. Friends can choose various armors or playh as War Machine, CD, TM, Force, heck, even Rescue. Theres only so much I could desribe while being somewhat brief here, but the general idea is there. Vast game in scope yes, but IM I see as a international and space trotter anyways, interacting with many IM characters of comic past in th process

Movie tie-in video games almost always suck because they are put together on waaayyy too short a schedule. A properly designed video-game requires easily twice as much time as a tie-in is ever given.

I kinda wish they'd do what Warner Bros. has done, and do a game based on the comic, and not the movies, ala Batman and the recent Arkham series. I'd love something along those lines for Iron Man, maybe with some writing/input by Michelinie and Layton for good measure.

To me the best way to do Iron Man is to do an RPG..
Open world, free to do whatever you want, whenever you want.. Level up your stats, and upgrade/unlock all the armors and weapons you can possibly cram into the suit.

I don't care what color you are, where you come from, what god you worship, who you date, or what your DNA looks like under a scanner.

Movie based games are never really good though. Let's be honest: if it wasn't IM, we wouldn't bat an eye at it.

Actually, I've been looking out for the Cap game, & that looked pretty ok from the videos I was able to pull up online. Thor, a no go. Very sad as he's the tie fpr favorite marvel character with shell head.
