Does anyone think that Iron Man's actions against the Chitauri makes up for his being the whipping boy of the Marvel Universe?
My feeling was that it was the first time that IronMan in the movies has been a hero for others instead of just for himself.
what Cap said to ironman when the staff was causing them to have animosity toward each other, about pretending to be a hero when he was just cleaning up his own mess in first 2 movies. I think I made mention of that as well in my review of IM2 that they should have had a montage of IM heroic actions of the 6 months between IM1 and IM2 that he successfully privatized world peace. this would have added some more action sequences to the movie as well as showing IM in a more heroic light.
hopefully they take some ques from avengers and move the story along with some action sequences mixed in with the storyline. I think basically IM2 had 3 very short action sequences and in a superhero movie thats not enough to keep things going.
