There's multiple Phantom stores. They used to be altogether but then were sold off separately. The one in Monroeville is just comics while the one in Oakland leans towards games and the like.

Ohhhh, I see. I didn't know they had more than one store like that, Chaos. Thanks.  Cool

Just read the latest AvX and I'm not sure I'm happy with the Thor v. Emma Frost outcome. Thor should be able to take on a fifth of the Phoenix Force.

I am SO with you on that !  Thor got punked on that battle. For a norse god, he doesn't seem to be all that powerful anymore, it's like any mortal in an iron suit or imbued with a bit of comsic power can whup Thor like he stole something. (for more examples read Avengers Assemble!)

Especially when you consider that this guy has taken on the Midgard Serpent, Loki and other gods, Mangog, etc. Thor should have wiped the floor with Emma Frost, Phoenix Force or no Phoenix Force, regardless if it was even 1/5 of it.

Thor versus the entire Phoenix force, I think the Phoenix would win (maybe). My problem she's only one fifth.

I got #8 the other day. Not bad but Namor just continues to annoy me at every turn. What is entertaining about his character? I want to punch someone every time I hear "Imperious Rex"

Completely agree.  I find nothing remotely interesting about him.

But do people actually like him? I don't think I've ever heard a "Namor is my favorite." I just think he's there to piss everyone off all the time..

Well people like the Thing and I find him every bit as two dimensional and a one trick pony as Namor with "It's clobberin' time!"

But I think the fact he doesn't have his own series despite always having such a major role in things says a lot about readers opinion towards him.

Long time hardcore IM fan!! Tony's my hero!

Im not a fan of him either..(put a shirt on!). He really should just stay a FF villain/ally.
As far as AvX, I thought id sit the event out originally,  but after reading the issue #0 preview and the 1st 2 books, I rather like it as well, even though it really is more of a Civil War 2 story. But insted of Tony Stark looking like an A-hole, now its most everybody with Cyclops being the biggest of the bunch.

-Spoiler!!!-

The story itself im finding very compelling actually, in that you start out pulling for the Avengers, but once the 5 x-men get the phoenix force and start rebuilding a better world and Cap turns into an A-Hole -with writer Matt Fraction making Tony a moron in this book now- you kinda find yourself pulling for the X-Men now. I love a story like that, that makes you sit back and think, and ponder what you think is the right thing. Its in my opinion the best Marvel event we've seen in quite some time... but thats still not saying alot. Heard we're in for a really great ending, but I wont bet much money on it, tho the curiosity is building as to how it leads into a whole new start for a lot of Marvel books.....

I do agree with that assessment where the tables have turned. However, everyone knows the Phoenix forces has some greater plan that will inevitably end up bad for the Earth. After all, how many times has it tried to destroy the universe?

I'm not expecting a big pay off either; they've said that about every event and how it would change the Marvel U etc etc. Maybe we'll see all the mutants get their powers back or something but I don't see something quite that big happening. It will probably have more effect on the X-Men titles than the rest of the Marvel U sans the "rebooted" titles.

In contrast, I'm finding myself rooting more for the Avengers and less for the poor, poor mutants.  If this is how they act when they get the chance to run things, why trust 'em?

I mean, Rogue's already switched sides.

Does anyone else notice Cyclops is the least crazy?  While the rest of the P5 want to kill the Avengers and really seemed to have little regard for any kind of life that isn't mutant, Cyclops is the one making the others help the world and ready to smack one of them if they kill anyone.

He's probably going to die when this is over, but he might be the least deserving.

Possible.. I think they're all pretty douchey.  While Cyclops is trying to help the world, I feel like his means are pretty ridiculous.
