Btw, looks like they're going the comics route by having Rhodey be Stark's pilot and chief aviation engineer. I really hope they use elements from Armor Wars 2 -- Byrne's Rhodey was the best portrayal of Tony's best friend.

Good news. I still hope its not about the Extremeis storyline. Like I posted already, we have a motion comic version of that story already, I dont want to see Marvel waste a movie retelling it. Plus Extremeis is an ok story, but HIGHLY over-rated IMO.   (plus I still remember it taking like 2years for the 6 issues to come out..)

I was lucky enough not to discover Extremis till the TPB. I think the reason I like it, is that in some ways it's the last look at Tony from the "Golden Years" in my opinion. I know that the extremis  nanovirus itself wasn't his invention, but don't forget, he rewrote the base programming for it lying on a gurney half dead. THAT's pure Tony.

Personally, I think the Extremis storyline works wonderfully for the big screen.  It also allows Tony to face off against a non-armored individual in a way that makes sense in that universe. 

Finally, it has him defeat the villain using his mind over his brawn. 

It allows for a lot of exposition while still leaving room for plenty of action as well. 

I think another storyline they could "begin to plant seeds for" is the sentient armor storyline.

I believe the Extrmis if played out the right way could be rad and also this flick is being shot at my home state North Carolina which is cool.
