I hated Batman Beyond.

For one thing, it was sort of a Spider-Man rip off (at least to me).

The other was that Bruce was a lonely, bitter old man; prior to meeting Terry, Bruce was losing his own company, and Gotham's crime rate was escalating.  All of Bruce's efforts and sacrifices were for nothing.
