As I mentioned in another thread every year my LCS has a Black Friday sale with some pretty good deals. Mainly I hit up the TPBs since they are 25% off. So here is what I picked up.

Heroes Reborn: The Return
Age of Apocalypse Prelude (oddly it uses the old comic paper rather than the new laminated paper)
Spawn: Origins Vol. 1 (been wanting to pick up a Spawn TPB for a while to see what it was like, so here's hoping it's good)
3 TPB's of the original Marvel Transformers series (the latter issues that were actually fairly good, plus they were already marked 30-40% off so better than the 25%)

Not too shabby if I say so myself. Granted, I spent a fair amount more than I had planned but it was worth it.

Most of the titles I went in search of were already sold out at my LCS by the time I got there.  My haul was:

Batman: Knightfall (The 3 trades that follow Bruce getting his back broken by Bane, Azrael taking over, and Bruce returning to take back the mantle).

Halcyon (a new series that asks the question "What happens to the superheroes when the world becomes a peaceful place?)

Essential X-Factor Volume #3 and Essential Web of Spider-Man Volume #1 (you can't go wrong with Essential books).

Cool. Is the Essential from the X-Factor era with Cyclops and Jean Grey or the later era with Havok? I read some X-Factor in the 90's, but it mostly was in relation to crossovers of the X-Men events like Fatal Attractions where Magneto returned.

Halcyon sounds like a cool concept, what publisher is that?

Essential X-Factor covers the Cyclops\Jean Grey era.  The Havok era is covered in "X-Factor Visionaries: Peter David," and they are in color.  Halcyon is an image book written by Marc Guggenheim and Tara Butters.  I picked up because it came highly recommended by a friend, but I haven't had a chance to read it yet.  I don't know if it's an ongoing series or not.
