Everyone else looks pretty okay, but that bat-suit is fugly. I just saw the new Entertainment Weekly at the grocery store, and I did a double-take it looked so bad. The suit alone has diminished my expectations, but I'll reserve final judgment until I see it in motion for a few minutes. The Cap suit in Avengers looks much better in motion that it does in still shots, so I'm hoping it's the same here.
They should have "borrowed" the suit design from Arkham Asylum.

Damn that trailer is depressing. To be honest, it dampened my excitement for Avengers a little just because it was so damn morbid and dark. I really want to see it, but I have a feeling I'll be crying in the shower afterwards.

The trailer in the Avengers puts Catwoman in a different light. In the previous trailer she's made out to look like a foe, but in this she seems to be an ally. I guess at some point she switches sides. And yeah, it does give the impression that Bruce is going to have to make the ultimate sacrifice to stop Bane. Here's to hoping that he actually get's to retire to a quiet life with Selena & raise the next generation of Batman.

I just haven't found any of the trailers for TDR to be at all captivating. My gut feeling is that it is going to be severely disappointing compared to the high that TDK was.
I'm going to go see it, but I find myself more intrigued by Amazing Spider-Man, which is funny since I'm totally not digging this "Ultimate" origin. I find it cheesy when comic books make things too interconnected.

Catwoman's always been a villain with a conscience, so I'd expect her to help Batman after she realizes the truth about Bane and the League of Shadows. Fans have always expected (even wanted) Batman to die, but I've always liked the idea of Bruce Wayne retiring one day. Batman's world may be grim, but that doesn't mean his finale needs to be.

Remember, in the trailer Selina says that she's afraid of Bane, so there must be some history there.

I'm not digging Amazing Spider-Man either. I hate the suit. I hate Peter's "grunge" look. I hate the "Ultimate Universe." This is not our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

Count me among those not digging the forthcoming "Amazing Spider-Man" movie and it's hipster Peter Parker. It may have all the names from the classic comic book, but it just doesn't feel like a Spidey story to me.

I admit that I haven't read too much of "Ultimate Spider-Man" but the first 30 issues were not dark at all. Serious but still pretty light and fun. If anything, the tone and look of the film reminds me of the 90's "Spider-Man" book by Todd McFarlane or the "Spectacular Spider-Man" book from around the same time. Both of which were much darker than the main title.

Despite all the other things that might be wrong with The Amazing Spider-Man, they got the Spider part right. When he moves, or swings or crawls walls, he's Spider-Man without a doubt. The trailers show that part off better than anything I saw in the Raimi movies, and I actually liked them for the most part.

That's what happens when good friends get together to talk about movies. That being said, my wife & I aren't sure about this. After Avengers, Batman looked . . . dull & dreary by comparison. I love Bale, Equlibrium is still to this day one fo my very favorite movies. It's story driven & the violence is there for a point, not to be mindless action. Batman just feels TOO grounded in reality. I want to see the Batman from the Arkham Asylum & City games, the Batman from Justice League (& Unlitmited) the Batman from the Old 52 . . . & the thee things that bother me the most, are Bale's voice/growl as Batman, his fugly messed up Batsuit, & Bane. I even beileve somewhere on this very forum is a pic of the Batsuit from the Arkham game, kmade by an effects company, that looks SPOT ON. WTF ?!?!? Nolan should be hiring these guys for costume design.
