I am glad he's not EIC anymore because I found I didn't agree with his views on a number of characters.
That was one of the worst things about him: personal bias. There is no reason any writer, and especially the top editor, cannot keep their personal feelings out of the equation. Personally, I hate the Fantastic Four, Sue Storm being the only one I can stand. If I were EiC I would love to have a miniseries where Doom kills them off and be done with them, but I know better than to do anything like that. Instead under his tenure we have had writers personal opinions forced upon us in major events: Quesada with OMD and BND since he didn't like Parker getting married. Millar with his political views in Civil War. Hulk fanboys getting their hard on for the character in WWH.
If the new guy keeps crap like this out of the stories, that alone will make it a big improvement over Joe Q since instances such as the above mentioned should have NEVER been allowed.
