Just curious what the thought was behind having the War Machine armor follow the Renaissance model in the position progression.

Yes, I'm that bored.  Grin

I can understand the reasoning they gave when creating "War Machine" (Variable Response Battle Suit), but I think any of Tony's Iron Man armors should be able to beat the crud out of it.

It is the man in the armor that counts in the whole equation but I say War machine can be beaten by whatever armor Tony is wearing.

So, any of the mods/ admin know why the War Machine follows the Renaissance armor here on the site in the position descriptions?

I really can't say.  Must have been the notion that the War Machine armor was a specialty armor on par with the Hulk and Thorbuster in terms of power so it was grouped with them.  However, that still contradicts the chronological order of their appearances, as War Machine was made long before the Modular and the Renaissance armor.  There's just no rhyme nor reason to it.  Just think of your War Machine status as being like the Parnell Jacobs model that Sunset Bain's lackey upgraded.  That one seemed to do a good job kicking Renaissance Armor Iron Man's ass.
