I always thought that Illuminati book gave clues to what the big next event was and also the conspiracy has to do with more than just the Skrulls.
So what do the Skrulls, The Infinity Gauntlet, The Beyonder, The Hulk, The Sentry, and Marvel Boy have in common?

Other than being some of the most powerful beings in the Marvel universe and at one time getting all the heroes getting to fight eachother or someone else?

It will be interesting to see how this all unfolds. Will it be a great sounding idea with a weak execution like Civil War, or will it be the phenomenally powerful story that it has the potential to be? I can say this: I'm already more excited about this Skrull plot just from the couple pages of Avengers #31 than I was about the entirety of Civil War. I guess that says something right there...

I wonder how Iron Man is going to uncover the Skrull's plan in this series?

Who says it's even going to be Iron Man that uncovers it?

i dont think he uncovers it but this will surely make iron man take more extreme measures and maybe more conflict with the illuminati than ever

Posted this on the WWH thread, but figured I post it hear to.
So how about this theory: Skrulls have been keeping an eye on Earth, in particular the Illuminati since they want revenge. They see that Stark sends Hulk into space, and Hulk being predicatble with his "Hulk smash" reaction, decide to divert the spaceship to another planet. When Hulk makes a life on that planet for himself: boom, the Skrulls blow up his ship and take it away, making it seem like it was the Illuminati's plan all along.
The Skrull have already infiltrated Earth as we see by Elektra being a Skrull (and we know it's the next big arc in Marvel). So with arranging things with the Hulk, he comes back and takes out most of Earth's super heroes, who the Srkulls abhore and said in Illuminati was the reason they were defeated by Earth. So this would leave Earth in a weakend state and make it much easier for the Skrulls to conquer the planet.
Thoughts?

If Chaos is right, then the only hope for Earth is if Hulk snaps out of it, and attacks the Skrulls upon comming here.

Rationally, I wouldn't see Hulk attacking the skrulls to save earth, he'd do it because they used him. Perfectly up JoeyQ's alley.
Still blows, however.

As much as I dislike Joe Q, I think this would be the case with any savage Hulk.

How can any planet with the Hulk be considered weakened?
Wouldn't killing the heroes be easier than killing the man\monster that was tough enough to kill all of them singlehandedly?

Like in the past, I'm sure they would have dragged Hulk into it somehow, be it the Skrulls attacked Hulk or the heroes convinced him to join them. But either way, I'm sure the Skrulls would try and kill Hulk regardless because deep down he is human and they want all the Humans gone. So what it boils down to is: Hulk + Heroes >>> Hulk If you're aiming to whipe them all out, let them do the work for you. I think it's summed up well by this quote from Sum of All Fears: " Let no man call us crazy. They called Hitler crazy. But Hitler was not crazy. He was stupid. You don't try and fight Russia and America. You get Russia and America to fight each other... and destroy each other. " -Dressler
