Because this is a long running story coming up, we'll sticky it for the time being. Just like the Enter the Mandarin topic, we'll remove it when it's complete. The big mystery now is who will be revealed as a Skrull. We know so far that Elektra has been shown to be an imposter. Although I don't think that Stark will be deemed "Skrully", it can't be totally discounted... they've done it in the past.  edited to add spoiler tag to title ~Rog |

IM v2 #13, p. 28 im talked with my local comic know it all guy and well even though he doesnt like stark he says its impossible for himm to be a skrull It's not impossible, although it's highly unlikely for a myriad of reasons (but discussion like this is why I started and stickied the thread). My theory or hope is that Stark and Cap have planned much of this all along. Cap is in cryo freeze at the bottom of the ocean, protected by Namor to help throw off the Skrull infiltration. There's another play on this take as well that indicates Stark really thinks that Cap is dead.... The big question though is "who's a Skrull?" My money is on Reed Richards and the Invisible Woman. |

its hard to make captain come back come on they already made it official in the news.. and well even stark cried to captain(well the body.. in confessions) so if captain is alive stark doesnt know.. aand if!! captain is alive joe q would look pretty bad in front of alot of people.. and i guess he doesnt want that.. havent read fantastic four so about reed and invisible woman i cant say nothing.. maybe someone in shield, with shield in their power skrull have complete military power and complete knowledge of how to defeat every super human

I'm probably going to support Ronaldo's theory on this. Dum Dum Dugan could possibly be a skrull as well. As for Cap, he may as well be dead, until some sort of Retcon occurs or something.

i remember someone said an invasion already started my guess is that some one in shield not sure if maria is a skrull cause they already start to gain power thanks to the registration act etc.. not iron man but shield.. maybe iron man will clean his name up by killing the skrull in shield and saving the day

skrull thing came up thnx to new avengers with elektra turned out to be a skrull blah blah and i dont remember what writter said that a invasiion already started way behind so where making up theorys on who could be a skrull

The idea is that back during the Kree-Skrull War, some of Earth's heroes were replaced by Skrulls as a vanguard to destabliize Earth's superheroes/defenders and to lay the foundation for an on-going, but subtle invasion.
So far we've learned, in New Avengers that Elektra has been a Skrull plant. Bendis has indicated that his groundwork for this meta-story has been planted since the New Avengers relaunch. He's also said that anyone who has been acting "out of character," undergone a suspicious death and resurrection, etc. are suspect. Supposedly this storylione will culminate in next summer's BIG EVENT!

Oh, God... not ANOTHER monster cross-over where the signficant plot points will be revealed in the ancillary issues instead of in the main book title...  What is sounds like they're laying the foundation for is something that will royally piss off readers - in effect invalidating most of what's happened. Vic |
