That's a huge complaint. This summer is rife with sequels and one of my major points of contention at Screen Rant is the propensity of studios to do remakes.

I'm not a master of movie economics by any means, but it seems that studios place their bets on these because they may think they are solid guaranteed returns.... as if the logic is "well if the movie did well in the past, then it'll do as well with that same audience when we just update it and revisit it."
On another note, I saw the newest Texas CSM movie in the theater when it came out. I hated that movie with a white hot passion. And then I made the mistake of seeing "The Hills Have Eyes" and that movie just pissed me off. What a waste of life... I do
not like movies about killer hicks..... sheesh, I could go on about those forever, man.
