It has the ability to create weapons from Tony's imagination, such as a boxing glove.

wait.. really?

Well there were a few frames during Fraction's run where he made some guns from the gauntlets, not that he ever really used them...

Well, there's plenty times it was said the extremis armor was more advanced than any other armor, yet other than propulsion and the full-form repulsor, it was pretty much shown to be inferior to many past models.

Yeah those propulsion system upgrades were something else. X-15 level flight speeds are really impressive, I just wish some clue was given as to how he managed it. After all, most of his previous suits could only go a little more than Mach 1. Having all of the components of the armor incorporating miniature lift fans was a neat idea. It not only allowed the individual pieces to literally fly to him, it also allowed him to hover without using those bright & noisy bootjets. Good for stealth.

Well this.. Of course they're gonna say "the most advanced one yet" because if you said "this one is new, but not as good as the last 8" it's not interesting.  I think what most of us here look for are actual explanations of why it's better.  One of the things that is mentioned is that we basically haven't seen any other weaponry other than a Repulsor in a very long time.

Well I can live with Repulsors being the primary weapon as long as it's upgraded in some way every so often. The last upgrade I can think of was when it got the rapid fire targeting system way back in the mod. 9 suit. I tend to discount the full body repulsor field as it was only used a couple of times & it's hard to plausibly explain the effect. The best I can come up with is he generates a VERY powerful magnetic field around the suit & then does a controlled discharge of the repulsors so that the field catches the particle stream & disperses it around the suit at say a distance of 1" until the field reaches critical mass & omnidirectionally discharges. The biggest problems with this is I don't think the armor could generate a field that strong, & if you could it would literally be life threatening to be anywhere near him when he's doing it as we're talking field strengths' on the level of particle colliders & that strong a field could literally shut down your nervous system! It is a shame the writers seem to have forgotten about the Pulse Bolts. Those were his big guns. Not terribly useful at short range, but certainly more than capable of reaching out & tagging someone at a distance. We haven't seen them since the Rennaissance suit. It would be nice if a writer at least had Tony say that he found a way to radically increase the range & striking power of the repulsors so that the pulse bolts were now unneccessary.

I was thinking a gravimetric field myself, but that would probably take even more power to use.

There definitely needs to be more standard energy armaments added to the suit's arsenal. I'm shocked no writer has ever looked up what lasers are actually capable of because they are pretty damn potent weapons when applied correctly.

I'm find with the primary weapon being the Repulsor too.. But we used to see other weapons like Pulse Bolts, all kinds of Thermal and Sonic Beams, and I think the last time I remember seeing a Unibeam was Director of SHIELD and that was from the Classic Red and Gold.

I like the mobile armory of the new suit, although I wonder what defensive measures it has. (Surely someone would try to damage or steal it)

It seems to be all of the various emitters in the suit firing a controlled burst.  Not entirely new as the unibeam and the SKIN armor's shield could do something similar, just not with repulsors per se.

But yeah, I'd like to see variety.
