Wink Heh heh, now you see why this is in the Artwork section...

Saw Ms Marvel on the cover of issue #29 of her comic and noticed this campaign button she was wearing....

(Wait, she was wearing badges? Who knew!)

So, having to go to a Melbourne Cup Day party held here the day before the U.S Election I knocked up one of these to wear. Alongside my Jed Bartlet button of course....  Cool

It's nothing fancy, just a quickie drawn in Photoshop and stuck to a backing.

Okay, cut some time loose to do a proper version of this....

Drawn in Photoshop but with a font that probably breaks all the 'warm and fuzzy' Do's/Dont's guidelines....I chose "Machine" as being far more appropriate for the Invincible Iron Man.

What you said, Nicktem, ditto!

Who knows what the future will hold (except, of course, Mr Stark, futurist without parallel) and I am reminded of what is said about the Middle East, "Anyone who claims to know for sure is immediately to be discounted".

Still, today, I think, I'd like to congratulate our U.S friends for proving that their country is the bastion of democracy that they have always claimed it to be where anyone can aspire to be President.

On ya mates, good one!

Let's hope they can also be good sports, inclusive rather than exclusive, and put the "United" back into "United States".

Yes, who could have ever predicted that the son of a white woman from Kansas could one day become the president of the united states of america.

Good thing I quoted you to directly indicate the context of my comment or I might look quite the fool right now.

IRON MAN: TONY STARK FOR PRESIDENT - "OBAMARMOUR"

SHELLHEADING FOR THE WHITE HOUSE ?

"Well then, you'll consider my offer?"

"Of course Mr President, you do me great honour. Though with all due respect, Sir... I must point out that my last stint as Secretary of Defence didn't work out that well."

"I know, I know. I've read the reports, but that's water under the bridge and Tony, you're still the best...Iron Man...for the job. Just think it over please, your country needs you, and thanks again for seeing me at such short notice.  I really appreciate it, especially since you're in the middle of a mission...."

"Mr President, I could say the same of you. Sir, it's been an honour! And I will certainly give your offer the most serious consideration."

"Can't ask more than that. Oh, wait just a minute, I find I must! I almost forgot...this is kind of embarassing but my kids will kill me if I don't ask for an autograph...."

"Of course Mr President. Who do I make it out too?"

"Uh, well you see, actually Tony, they wanted me to ask you if you could get War Machine's autograph."

"Ahem, I see. Of course Mr President! Next time I see Jim Rhodes I'll be sure to ask him. Actually, Sir,  that reminds me, he wanted to me to ask you a question about the Marine Corps."

"He wants to re-enlist? Get back in the Corps?"

"Well, no Mr President, not exactly.  Actually, he wants to BE the Corps."

"Whew! Tell him..tell him,  I'll see what I can do..."

"He'd appreciate that Mr President."

"Huh! Wait until I tell the kids! Now, I've cleared it with the Secret Service, so it's okay if you take off from the porch, only y'know, Michelle says to mind the roses..."

"Of course Mr President. Thank you sir."

"No Tony, Thank YOU!"

WHOOOOSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHH  !!

"Y'know, I really do hope he accepts, just so I can ask him how he manages to to sit on normal chairs without his armour crushing them....."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I really enjoyed seeing the first photos of President Elect Obama meeting President Bush in the Oval Office and thought it offered the perfect Photoshop Opportunity to have a little play.

Then I thought it might also make a good cover story for the Daily Bugle.

Peter Parker worked hard for this shot, hope that tightwad Jameson pays him for it!

The inserted Iron Man figure is the Diamond Select Extremis Armour figure, which I must say is a bit of a disappointment, articulation wise. Still, nothing a bit of digital tweaking can't fix!

Cheers Crimson, I'll pass that on to Peter Parker, who of course took the original piccy... Wink

A real gem as always, Mr. Jan!

No worries Jedi, heh, I could use an extra gem or two to finish off the Galactusbuster suit! Grin
