I was just wondering what else has happened to Tony since this was published in '92?

Nervous system damaged (Iron Man vol III)

This has always been something I've been confused by, how did Tony's heart problem go away after Joe Q had the Sentient Armor give Tony an artificial heart?

Closed head injury, multiple rib fractures and other related internal injuries from both the attack by Firepower and the beating by the Spy Master's minions in volume III.

Well, prior to that, I think most writers just didn't mention it, as it was an incredibly stupid thing to do in the first place.

Really? Why's that, Rog? I thought it was a legitimate attempt to recontextualize Tony's original fraility / early weakness without resorting to falling off the wagon or more neuro-degenerative problems.

I thought the circumstances under which Tony got his new artificial heart were just a little too far out there.  And besides, the heart thing had been literally beaten to death in the 60's, so it felt far too much like a "been there/done that" thing for me.

LOL... I'm falling somewhere in between Jedi's take on this and Roger's take on this... heh!

I'm with Roger A Ott II on this.  The heart issues and neural degenerative problems were beaten to death before.  It's time to move on to another fraity.

Of course, he's running out of body parts to injure. Smiley

Oh, and no need to be so formal, Kaiser.  You can call me Rog.

Yeah, but everyone must know that Extremis won't last forever without getting retconned out.  Maybe it should.....be his kidneys or liver that should contract a terminal disease or something?
