Kind of cool, but overall it doesn't really swing me one way or the other.

If it sounds better than what was originally set to be in place, then GREAT ... otherwise it's just a nod to fanboys.  I don't think it's a concept that will make people rush to the theater or avoid it.

So, overall, it doesn't make me get all squirmy in my chair, but it is cool.  I say great for Louie F!

One way or the other, I think I'm going to see the movie like 3 times opening weekend.

Lou Ferrigno's a nice touch I guess.  Like SirReef though, I think it's just another nod to the mindless Hulk fanboys.

Adding in Lou is cool. However, it doesnt really isnt something that will draw more people in.

Like how the fact that Peter Cullen voiced Optimus Prime didn't draw more attention in?

I don't think it's really meant to draw in more people.  It's just a nod to the fans.  The people that liked the TV show are already going to go watch the movie.

The voice of Prime was far more well recognized by the Transformers fan base than the voice of Lou Ferrigno.  No offense to Lou ... but Prime's voice is unmistakable.

That and Optimus actually talked. The Hulk is just grunting most the time.

Of course, Michael Bay had to even screw up Cullen's voice...

god damnit Kaiser, why did you have to get me started on this again?

Oh ... don't forget the lips.  Optimus needs lips.

No, mine is long gone. I think my alternate dimensions selves are now having their childhoods ruined.

I think Cullen as Prime was a more significant move than Lou Ferrigno. Cullen as Prime is highly definitive and recognizable... a voice for the Hulk is not so much because he never really speaks beyond some yelling anyway.

I saw Lou at a convention in Toronto a few years ago.  My friend didn't know you were supposed to shell out $$$ for a picture, so when he went to take one, Lou like hid his face and put his hand in the camera's line of sight.  "Pictures are twenty five dollahs!"
