Man, it really depresses me that Marvel wont return the calls of the man who gave us War Machine and one of the absolute best runs of Iron Man. Especially since WM's so popular and is almost a definite for the movies. If only they realized how many of us are clamoring to get you back on the book, Len. Then again I don't think Marvel has a habit of listening to the fans these days.

It's not fair really, they've got Michelinie and Layton doing specials I'd expect them to at least offer you something like that.

I'm really sad I didn't get to see your Mazinger Z Buster Iron Man.

Edit: Another thing I want to say to Len, and I hope I don't sound lame in saying it, is that your work was more important to me nostalgically than any other comic book. I was just a little kid when Iron Man 300 came out. It was one of my first comic books ever with the cool gold foil cover and all that. At that age I was already into science fiction and things with amazing unbelievable technology like Star Trek and I think Sci-Fi channel was showing "The New Adventures of Gigantor" around this time which I was also really into (Coincidentally Iron Man 28 in Japan). I must have read it front to back at least a million times. My copy is all bent and worthless now but I wouldn't trade it for the world. All of the different armors and characters that I didn't know made me want to fill in the blanks and I eventually went back and did that (though when the cartoon came out it ended up confusing me a lot. I don't think I grasped the idea of alternate universes yet). Iron Man quickly became my favorite super hero while all the kids at school were running around pretending to be Spidey and Wolverine.

In retrospect IM 300 has its problems and I could go on about them with a non-nostalgia jaded critique, but it'll always be one of the greatest Iron Man issues to me. It got me to read comics which lead me to read real books which probably ended up in inspiring me to go to college and become a writer myself. Sure I could've picked any comic book up off the rack that day but I picked yours and I'm glad I did. Anyway as a writer who's struggling for a job, any job, in the current economy I know I'd personally love to hear something like this from somebody whose read my work so I just thought I'd share.

Marvel seems to turn a blind eye to the successful runs of the past.

Is it internal politics? Egos? Lack of leadership?

Oh well.

I'd say ego in thinking what they do is far better, but that's me.

And I agree wtih Obviously, #300 was a very good issue and the first and last time the "Iron Legion" was actually fun to see.

I was sad that Crash and Burn was altered by Marvel so much to include guest stars.  The story could've been so much better.  Though I feel Len's entire run was great, I wish he could've had a little more freedom with those last few issues.  I know the Slag story (Tony's former college professor) was cut short due to The Crossing.

Mr. Kaminski, sir, it is a great honour to finally meet you. In Russia (Moscow), as I know, I am the only one, who read and liked your stories. I even created a blog, in which I put a chronological order of your Iron Man run. The problem is, that most of the russian comics community started to read Iron Man in the beginning of Iron Man v3, but only few of them (as I) started to read Iron Man from the very v1-v4.

I also liked, how Iron Man: The Animated Series (Season 2) handled both of your stories, such as "The Hands of the Mandarin" and the Ultimo one. By the way, I know, that you are in bad relationships with some guys at Marvel, but here is the question: will we (readers) be able to see "Crash & Burn" in TPB or Hardcover?

Thank you Len, I really think that you are one of the most coolest and respectable Iron Man writers of all time. If it wasn't for you, there WOULDN'T be War Machine, awesome Modular Armor and perfect Tony Stark with his high-tech everyday problems.

Btw, there is one more question: What was your reaction to IM2 Trailer and news? After all, War Machine is your's and Kevin Hopgood's creation?

Oh, and I found Kevin Hopgood's Modern Armor interpretation. Looks great:

All I'm getting is a red X and a link that goes to a forbidden page.

Anyone else have a feeling Len will really like the new armor?

man, just think of the hi-tech stories Mr. Kaminski could write now-a-days, that would put the series back on top!
--and who wouldn't want to see Ultimo vs Fin Fang Foom vs Megazord-armor Iron Man , i'd take that over fraction's 12-part yawner any day!!!   It's awesome to have Len on here
