Cool!! Definitely a great game with very good use of skins. The funny thing is that the original has obvious replay value, but I haven't gone through it more than twice.....

Yeah, same here. With the different powers available, it would be quite a different experience every time, but I've only gone through it twice. I do think I'll give it another go in the next few weeks, as I never really played much with the downloadable character packs.

Glad to see that a sequel is coming. I love games like this and more Iron Man is always a good thing. Hopefully there will be some new armors this time around.

Good, I enjoyed the first one, but honestly I hope they do it more the way they did X-Men Legends II where you control the stat upgrades to the characters and the more free roaming feel. And I still want all powers available at the start, ah well, that's what cheat codes are for.

the more free roaming feel
I love this in games. I like being able to approach missions my own way, in my own order. I get spoiled by games like Oblivion, Mass Effect, and Assassin's Creed, where this is a central gameplay element. The next Ultimate Alliance could benefit greatly by adding that.

Yeah, free roaming adds so much more than you think before you try it. It's what I love about the Rock Star games like the Grand Theft Auto series and The Warriors, few of the missions had you follow a specific path and you could completely sidetrack yourself w/o failing the mission or anything.

I guess if I had to have one gripe with Ultimate Alliance, it was the lack of free-roam, and could very well be why I haven't played it repeatedly. Despite having many different power sets with different characters, you were stuck following the same exact linear path every time. Go here, beat up bad guys, go back to base, regroup, go here, beat up bad guys, etc, etc. Great fun on the first play through or two, but after that...?
If they add side missions and multiple approaches to the missions instead of just more of the same, they'll have a successful sequel.

Plus more to the cast. I actually though the cast for Legends II was better than UA, and was surprised they left out guys like the Hulk. Plus having a lot of costumes like Legends II would be nice also.

Free roaming would definitely add a lot of freedom to gameplay. This is mainly what I want for the Iron Man movie game.

Just read in Wizard Magazine that Marvel Ultimate Alliance coming out this year in 2008. There will be a 'Civil War' theme to it. I just hope I can play Iron Man in his classic armor.

Ugh. Well, that sucks. Why not pick something actually cool like Infinity Gauntlet or Secret Wars? Hero vs. Hero might be a fun beat-em-up style game, but it's way past stupid for a story-driven large-scope game like this should be.

Ugh, I'm not sure I'd like it going with the crapfest that was Civil War. I guess that means Iron Man will figure prominently into the game, but I'd rather have some subject matter that didn't get Iron Man named Villain of the Year...

Maybe they should have waited and based the game on the Skrull Invasion.
Imagine having Wolverine on your team, beefing up his skills and powers throughout the game, and then he suddenly turns on you in the middle of a mission. It'd be kinda cool to know one of your characters is a skrull but not which one.
