Welcome to the games forum.  It might seem that having a forum specifically for games that Iron Man has appeared in may be limiting to discussion, but lets start by compiling a list to see where Iron Man appears in game consoles!

Avengers - NES (Non Playable Character)
Captain American & The Avengers - Arcade | SNES (Playable Character)
War of the Gems - SNES (Playable Character)
Iron Man / X-O Manowar - Gameboy | PS1 | PC | Saturn | Gamegear (Playable Character)
Marel Super Heroes - Arcade | PS1 | Saturn (Playable Character)
Marvel vs. Capcom - Arcade | PS1 | Dreamcast (War Machine Playable)
Marvel vs. Capcom 2 - Arcade | PS2 | Xbox | Dreamcast (Playable Character)
The Invincible Iron Man - GBA (Playable Character)
Tony Hawk's Underground - PS2 | Gamecube | Xbox (Playable Skateboarder)
Ultimate Spider-Man - PS2 | Xbox | Gamecube (Non Playable Character)
Marvel Nemesis - PS2 | Xbox | PSP | NDS | Gamecube (Playable Character)
Marvel Ultimate Alliance - PS2 | PS3 | Xbox 360 (Playable Character)
Iron Man - PS2 | PS3 | PSP | Xbox 360 | Wii (Playable Character)
X-Men Legends 2 - PS2 | PSP | Xbox | Gamecube (Playable Character)
The Punisher - PS2 | Xbox (Non Playable Character)

Yeah, you have to unlock him, but then you can skateboard around with him wearing the modern armor.  It's pretty funny....  I've got a lot of intel on this stuff too because I've been prepping an Iron Man in video games article for AI for years and haven't gotten around to it.  I've passed that article onto Brohara to make sure that type of article gets published in a regular column!

Good call... I brainstormed that list here at work and forgot all about those!  The cut scenes in Punisher where fantastic! I've added them...

Sounds like you still might be the man to write that article, IMJ. My gaming experience only includes a couple
of those you have listed there, primarily Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

It would be hilarious to see IM appear on a skateboard (any chance he was just using the armors old skate wheels? ;-)

I am curious about his Punisher appearance as well.

Just to note, you can also add PC as a platform for at least a couple of those mentioned.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance and the upcoming movie game (if that's what you have listed there) are for sure.

I don't mind working with you on the gaming articles... I do want to tweak the name of the column a bit though, and we can do what Heath and I have done when we team up on something.  I'll email you with that and a few other things when we move a little closer to AI 73 stuff... Wink

Yeah, Ultimate Spider-Man and (I think) X-Men Legends 2 are both on the Gamecube, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance is also on the Wii, if't helps. Cool idea for an article; I didn't realise he'd been in so many games.

The next article in the 'Iron Man In Action' column is not likely to be gaming related, so it could be a separate thing. I am compiling ideas already for that, so I'll be in touch soon on those pitches. But that games article you speak of needs to get done for sure. I'd be happy to help get it put together. It'd make a very cool overview.

Does anyone have the footage of the cutscenes in Punisher with Iron Man in it?  I'd appreciate it if anyone can post links to videos of those scenes.

I've discussed this privately for a couple years now with some of the other guys, and no one seems to have video footage.  One of our older forum guys managed to land some cool screen caps that I've got in my database, but apparently for whatever reason it was hard to rip video from that game.  I've been eager to land MPEG's of the Iron Man scenes for years.

Alright.  Thanks anyway.  I think it was C.H.R.I.S. that put those caps up (yes, I looked at the older parts of the old IIM message board).

I went looking at youtube and found the Punisher Cinematics (10 mins. worth), but none of them featured Iron Man. Huh

I was P.O.'d when you couldn't play Captain America and the Avengers on NES, but happy I could on Sega Genesis!
