Apparently this collectible has working flaps the back of the boots open up to expose the rockets it has the pop up missile launcher in the arm the unibeam repulsors and eyes all supposedly illuminate it has three sets of interchangeble hands. 32 points of articulation.

This is the most detailed action figure I have ever seen. The dark knight one is also pretty awesome although I think the face on IM i much closer to RDJ then the dark knight's Christian Bale.  They also made a version of the tumbler and bat pod that is compatible with these 12" figures

Not statues at all, but highly detailed action figures.

Today is the first day I noticed that the Sideshow site has the Mark II for pre-order. I have both on order (that takes care of my Birthday and Christmas wants). Does anyone know when they are releasing them? I know they wrote 2008, 4th quarter, but I didn't know if someone knew a closer to actual date?

I just got an email news letter from SIDESHOW collectibles and they had this is in the shipment update section...

Marvel: Hot Toys Iron Man Mark III 12-inch Figure - #900140 4th Quarter now narrowed to Dec 2008

Man, I wish it was earlier than that. I at least hope it is the first part of the month and not around Christmas.

I think I'll be best to wait until the Aussie roo-ble climbs up off the floor. I wonder if it's possible to by-pass the U.S and buy 'em direct from Hong Kong?
