Is There A Problem Here?

WWW
« on: January 11, 2010, 04:41:52 PM »

The thread on the Spider-Man 4 movie news got me thinking: who here has found themselves liking or disliking a character in one media but not another?

For instance, what got me thinking was how while I am not a big Spider-Man fan I can see the appeal in the comics and his personality  is pretty unique, whereas in the movies Peter Parker is a complete whiner and annoying as hell to me.

It's reversed for me with Ice Man who I find to be a tool in the comics with an ego but like the portrayal in the movies where he is level headed and loyal to his teamates.

Anyone else feel this way about any characters?

I did like Iron Man in the movie more than I have the comic in ages.  Batman is the same way, even though I haven't seen The Dark Knight.

Superman. I usually enjoy him in movies and TV (and even the old radio shows), but when I sit down to read one of his comics, the fun doesn't translate.

I completely agree with that!
