I've haven't seen any one on the boards with the Dr. Voodoo Iron Man super deform resin kit based on his first Marvel appearance that was put out in the mid-2000's.  I'll try to get some pics up when I figure out how to post them.  Do any of you have this great little kit?

Tony's armor are special because they are made with love.
They're also made...IN AMERICA!!!  Cheesy
Oh god, now all I can think of is 'Tony Stark was able to build this...IN AMERICA!!!'

Madhouse did an excellent job with that Highlander anime. I was hoping they'd get their hands on more western licenses.

Well I just finished reading the five nightmares, trying to convince myself that Marvel is working on getting Iron Man back on the right track. I have some mixed feelings about Fraction's work really. I agree with Agent 333, it seems like sometimes Tony is really Tony and other times Tony is the guy I've been seeing pop up in other people's comics who's Stark in-name-only. And maybe that's the point, maybe he's trying to ease Tony back into the way he should be, I can only be optimistic and hope so. I thought his first arc was pretty decent really and was obviously aimed at movie fans but the way it ended up going with the remote control legion of Iron Men we've never seen before and the EMP burst was pretty boring and uncreative and Ezekial's potential has been hindered by making his personality that of a generic terrorist.

I also haven't really liked his handling of Pepper. She's just sort of there to be the wounded damsel and the informative voice in his helmet. That's a pet peeve I have with most Iron Man writers. They don't get the importance of the supporting characters. They're the ones who made some of the best Iron Man runs the best Iron Man runs.

STILL, Fraction's Iron Man may not be ideal but it's a step in the right direction, hopefully helping to clean up Tony's soiled name in the long run. I'm going to try and be cheerfully optimistic for what comes next.

The majority of the deleted scenes I would have left in the release version of the film.

I'm glad they shortened the hummer ambush sequence though. The original version was way too drawn out. It's truer to the comics having it happening quick and dirty too.

I thought Iron Man and The Dark Knight were both spectacular. It was a great summer to be a super hero comic book fan.

I think we all think that! The debate however isn't that they both weren't great, but rather whether one is truly better than the other.  The Dark Knight may have sold more movie tickets, but it's my bet that if we could count how many times people watch either movie repeatedly, that Iron Man would be watched more over time.

Ok... So here it is;
I got the collector's edition when it came out on DVD... I just bought a PS3, is it worth upgrading to Blu-Ray? I will eventually I'm sure, but how different is it?

Hands down: Yes. The Blu Ray is one of the best high def transfers that I've seen and it's a system show off piece in both sound and picture (that is to say when your friends come over and want to see what your home theater can do, Iron Man on Blu Ray is a perfect example of this, whereas it used to be something like Star Wars III on DVD).

Marvel seems to turn a blind eye to the successful runs of the past.

Is it internal politics? Egos? Lack of leadership?

Oh well.

I'd say ego in thinking what they do is far better, but that's me.

And I agree wtih Obviously, #300 was a very good issue and the first and last time the "Iron Legion" was actually fun to see.
